The FAIR TO GOOD pieces from our Traces Series are crafted from towels that carry their own stories of imperfection, which we meticulously repair. Rather than concealing the marks or, metaphorically speaking, the ‘wounds’ of these objects, we accentuate them, drawing inspiration from the Japanese Kintsugi philosophy. This practice assigns more value to the repaired object than to the new, embracing the notion that to live is to experience and leave marks, step by step.
