Rooted in love, tradition, and ethical craftsmanship, every piece we make tells a story – one of care, creativity, and a commitment to our planet.

But for Kenan, this project was about more than just fabrics. It was about a promise he once made, sitting on a surfboard in the Pacific, nervously eyeing what he thought were the sharks beneath him. In his own way, he told them: “Leave me alone, and I’ll help you.”

How can he keep the promise?

OUR STORY

FAIR TO GOOD is full of stories. One of the first starts with Kenan and Candan feeling powerless in the face of the climate crisis. While living in San Diego, Kenan scrolls through a surf app and sees the words “FAIR TO GOOD.” He thinks, “That’s it. That’s the name for a sustainable business rooted in surf and beach culture.” The idea sticks, and during their next visit to Turkey to see family, they decides to make it real.

Kenan has a plan. He travels from factory to factory, collecting fabrics that were damaged during production – materials most people would toss. Many think he’s out of his mind. Even his aunts (see Aysun and Esra in the picture), experienced in designing bridal and evening gowns, raise their eyebrows when he shows up with these flawed fabrics. Now, instead of elegant dresses, they’re being asked to create surf ponchos and towels.
